This Dior collection felt like it lacked the flamboyance of John Galliano, and instead just focused on the beautiful, feminine clothing that we associate with the brand. I don’t know if that is because of Galliano’s absence, or simply because I am perceiving it that way. Everything was romantic, girly, soft, and pretty. This show also felt a lot less put together than previous shows, instead it was simply a showcase of beautiful garments. The decision to put the show on, Toledano’s pre-show statement and the final bow taken by the atelier was the right thing to do. Many people presumed that the show would be canceled or downsized, but the fact is, Dior is not about one person, and the show had to go on
