Chanel Autumn Winter 2011
I really liked the slouchy tailoring that Chanel showed, and the fact that everything was styled so effortlessly. Chanel suits are one of the most “uptight” garments in the luxury world, I thought it was impossible to make one look young and cool, without it being a trend to dress like a 50 year old. But Karl has done it for this show. There was also quite a few beautiful cocktail and evening pieces, all in shades of black, which a few white accents. My only question is, why does he bother with the menswear? Does it actually sell anywhere? Or is it just so there are naked boys changing backstage? (That’s reason enough, as far as I am concerned.)a slouchy tailored look.
the styling: fabulous cream suit, fingerless gloves (SO Karl), head band, skinny jeans underneath the skirt, and flat, slouchy boots. Plus Chanel bag. Amazing.
an incredible coat.
a very cute Chanel coat dress.
a beautiful LBD, and the volume above the bust.
a gothic-chic cocktail dress.
when Chanel does minimalism.
those lacy pants, under a two tier lacy skirt.
when the painter's coveralls gets stuck in amongst the catwalk looks.
any outfit resembling a Pierrot clown suit.
